And he uses his pokemon, which are quite large, to protect against wild pokemon attacks! And, possibly, to defend or warn about the magnet train actually activating and coming towards him at speeds fast enough to slaughter him and his passenger/s without even noticing they're there.

Yes, I said passenger/s. While it is typical for only one person to be on the Magnet Train at once, that's because it leaves every... let's say five or so minutes, with most of that time being boarding. That won't happen with one person carrying the passengers on his back.

...additional idea that came to me while I was writing this. The Train Conductor might have something like a Hoverboard. He gets on board, picks up the passenger on his back, and thinks that the electromagnetism that powers the Magnet Train will propel him, his hoverboard and his passenger all the way to Saffron City, where he will repeat the activity to return.

@Darius Drake: Nice!

Yeah, he'll probably end up carrying upwards of fifty people. This plan is flawless.

Well, at least it'll be a better cardio workout than CrossFit.

"Actually, I think that could work!" is one of my favorite lines from this comic. XD I think the conductor needs a rickshaw.

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Hehe, thanks! In the actual game, he says "I know! I'll carry the passengers on my back! Wait, that'll never work..."

So naturally my next thought was "but what if he DID think it would work?"

@Surfersquid: It would be funnier, that's for sure. ;)

Eh, it could work

@Nashew: It'd probably take forever, but yeah it could work. 8P
