Social interaction or avoiding battles, your choice.

Tough Choice In my case, I would take the social interaction cause I would beat them and take their money to buy stuff that isn't repels...

If only avoiding eye contact helped avoid wild pokemon. I'd save time battling and/or running from them and would have reduced the number of trainers using repels...

I'm lucky enough to have a Cleanse Tag for the days I don't want to deal with wild pokemon, but too many lose patience and use repels before finding one. Poor, foolish souls.

To save your mind and time through wild pokemon infested areas, use environmentally and non-insanity inducing Cleanse Tags, not insanity inducing repels.

OH I WISH.
WHY DOESN'T THAT ACTUALLY WORK.

Sounds like a win/win to me

At least now socially-awkward people will have an excuse. "I'm avoiding Pokemon battles!"

@HaikenEdge: Ohhhh, now I want to start saying that. XD Anyone who gets it can talk to me. Anybody else - shoo.

I hate it when you think you've snuck past an NPC and suddenly they look up and challenge you to a battle.

Reply Sanji (Guest), October 18th, 2016, 6:21 pm

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Isn't that normally how it works? 8'V

Reply ReaderWriterNerd&Geek, October 18th, 2016, 9:34 pm

@Sanji: Yeah, as a matter of fact, I don't think it's possible to sneak past an NPC. They have eyes in the sides of their heads.

Reply Sanji (Guest), October 19th, 2016, 7:54 pm

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Yeah especially in the newer games.

Reply ReaderWriterNerd&Geek, October 20th, 2016, 8:15 am

@Sanji: What? It gets HARDER as the games go on?

There. That is my reason for not playing any games past Johto. XD

Reply Surfersquid, October 20th, 2016, 10:52 am

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: In my experience, the games' difficulty level stays about the same with each successive generation--they may even get easier in a sense, what with various improvements to the game mechanics and user interface, and the developers striving to keep the games accessible to children.

It just gets harder to avoid NPC trainers is all. :P

(If anybody's played the Sun/Moon demo, there seems to be a new feature that visually alerts you if you're entering a trainer's field of vision! That may help a bit.)

@Surfersquid: Ah, okay, then. And that sounds like a helpful feature, they must have finally given in to the complaints. XD
